About Conference

Learning, which originates in a desire for knowledge, has always been fundamental in the shaping of social life. It has lost nothing of its importance with developments in technology. Under the influence of Information Technology (IT), learning has acquired new dimensions, discussed quite regularly on many levels.

The aim of this conference is to discuss future innovations in the field of learning. The conference will encourage a debate on strategies for the development of the most effective methods, techniques, and technologies that will serve humankind in the lifelong learning process. Human beings are, after all, centrally involved in learning, and its fundamental “raison d’être”. This year, to be different from other years, the special theme of the conference has been selected as “Digital Transformation in Education”.

Beyazıt Campus
Fatih / İstanbul (Next to Faculty of Pharmacy)IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT CONFERENCE VENUE:
1-Beyazıt and Vezneciler bus stations are the two nearest stations to the Beyazıt Campus.
2-In case of usage of the buses (coming from Taksim, Eminönü, Yenikapı, Avcılar direction) passing through Saraçhane station, 15 minutes walking distance to the campus should be taken into consideration.
3-Guests coming by tram should get off at the Beyazıt station. Those who know the way can also get off at Laleli station.
4-For the usage of public transportation, it is suggested to buy “İstanbul Card”.
5-Vezneciler metro station of Yenikapı-Hacıosman(M2) metro line can be used for the access to Istanbul University. This metro line has connection with Marmaray.

Alternative public transportation options that can be used in the city:

From European side;

After arriving to the Cevizlibağ station of “Metrobus line”, you should make an interchange to the tram line and get off at Beyazıt station.

From Asian side;

You can use ferries either to Eminönü, Karaköy or Kabataş then make an interchange to the tram line and get off at the Beyazıt station.

Alternative public transportation options for the guests coming from other cities:

From Esenler bus terminal;
By using M1 Yenikapı–Atatürk Airport/Kirazlı light metro line you should reach Aksaray station then make an interchange to the tram line at Yusufpaşa station and get off at Beyazıt station. You can take buses going to Beyazıt direction from bus terminal as well.

From Atatürk Airport;
By using M1 Yenikapı–Atatürk Airport/Kirazlı light metro line you should reach Aksaray station then make an interchange to the tram line at Yusufpaşa station and get off at Beyazıt station. The interchange can be made at Zeytinburnu station as well.

From Sabiha Gökçen Airport;
Since this airport is far away from the university, you can ask officers at the airport for detailed transfer options. From the airport public buses can be used for the transfer to Bostancı. After reaching Bostancı, you can use İDO ferries to go to Yenikapı or Kabataş. From Yenikapı you can use M2 metro line and get off at Vezneciler station; from Kabataş you can take tram and reach Beyazıt station.

Another option is to take Havataş buses going to Taksim or Kadıköy. From Kadıköy you can go to Kabataş and make an interchange to the tram line and get off at Beyazıt station or from Taksim you can use M2 metro line and reach Vezneciler station.
